Before I left to spend some time in the woods for the long weekend, I wanted to throw this particular Comic Con San Diego video up on the site. I was casually walking by when I saw a naked dude with long hair get stopped by Care Bears with a boom-box. Then I heard the Flash Dance song and knew that having my camera in my hand in ready position was about to be fed some great stuff. Wish I could have got around the quick forming crowd fast easily enough to get some more Ms Marvel, but alas, naked dude got most of the camera lens in that case. Nick Fury was a great costume as was Black Widow… watching this again makes me want to spill buckets of water on me while running in the same spot again… I mean… for the first time.

–aaand ALLL ABOARD! The ship sails my pretties! Let the creatures of the sea fear the coming of the Aquatic League!

The site is still being worked on–and will likely not be touched again for the long weekend (in Canada) as I’m heading up north to the wilds and the cold frostbite water beaches that Canada loves to give it’s citizens in the middle of summer! It’s splashin’ time–and a time to ignore the size of genitals afterwards…

Sometimes I find some dudes dancing on YouTube that make me watch in owe. You know the kind, the guys and girls with moves meant only for mutant biology, yet somehow they manage to pull it off as humans.

Then there are videos like this one. It’s not like his doing moves that would rank him high on “So You Think You Can Dance”… but this kid is SEVEN-YEARS-OLD and he’s already managed to understand rhythm, beat, flow, and most importantly, how to entertain a crowd!

I can’t wish hard enough upon a star to have a child of my own someday that can melt some concrete up with steamin moves like this little tike can. He gives me hope!

• … Unless Darkhawk gets a series… then Marvel will have me by the balls… #
• I've got two weeks of comics to pick up later today… then it's CULLING time! Too many singles lying around, moving to trades in fall! #

It’s strange how a simply drawn webcomic like xkcd can sometimes perfectly capture the complexity of thoughts going on in one’s mind. This strip above pretty much explains my experience with hearing all the jargon details surrounding house shopping and loans, interest rates, bridged financing, etc.

When things get shadowy in the brain–I think of the master of shadows himself: Batman. Batman fixes everything and makes it nice, no matter how scary it is.
