This was the last of them. I wanted to try to depict an unfair match of rock-paper-scissors with two animals with unfair odds. This was the best I could do :), and thus ended the uber-short run on “Animology”!

I’ve been a part of two experiences that inspired this cartoon. The first was with my mother’s dog. I had the little furball on my lap in the passenger seat with the window open. He sees something outside and he STRUGGLES to jump out the window–of a MOVING car. I almost let him go due to my ultimate belief in all that Darwin stands for.

The second involved a three-legged dog in Portugal chasing a truck. End of story.

I’d just like to draw attention to a Simpson’s based XEI clone I did about a year ago with a Facebook Application (that can not be found ANYwhere anymore… got the copyright ax no doubt… poopy). Soon after you could the Simpsons Movie came out with a toon generator of which plenty a geek has used for digital representation across the interwebs since.

The Simpsons got it’s free ad space on my Facebook profile (even though “illegally”… pft… this was an awesome generator!) until just recently where I figured I’d save the silly Simpson simulacrum and dig it up later for laughs. Well who’s laughin now! MWhahahahaha… my image lives on even though the app is dead! Voila!

Notice the shirt? I would totally wear that shirt. A fish with 3 eyes would get my attention for <cough><cough> Viva La Evolution <cough>. Hair is shaved again, this guy’s still sporting the “shag”. The vacant stare is also totally me–you know for those times where you wake up and find yourself in Springfield… with candy all around you… and slushies… mmmm slushy…

Well, this wasn’t the only toonerific time killer in my colourful past! I’ve done countless of these–unfortunately most of them are lost to the woes of computer breakdowns and hard drive crashes. The three I found on my system were uploaded to Flickr and you can see them on this site as well if you got to the Gallery page.

Rest assured, I will be adding more XEI avatar creations as my web curiosity finds more opportunity. About 3 other sites are still in my memory. Maybe I’ll go kill some time tonight and daydream of easier times where everything around you are hard edged lines and you can never really get hurt. Unless they cancel your show–then you’re dead dead as a toon.
