The January issue of Blueprint Magazine, volume 10, issue 5, brings in the new year with the theme of “Fetish” and you’d think with a world inhabited by fiends this would be a simple theme to tackle, but it wasn’t.

I ended up turning ideas around in my mind for months. I think I got through five ideas before I realized all of them felt to obvious and on the nose. I couldn’t have that. I actually wrote an email to Morgan, the editor, saying I was going to bail on the January issue as the deadline was the next day. Well, with a few encouraging words and a revisit to some already done Raven nevermore pages, I restitched some panels together and rewrote a script around them to achieve the above strip. I’m actually quite happy on how it turned out!
